Innovation driven development, heading towards a green future together: REAL NEW MATERIAL participates in the Sino German Sustainable Development Forum

2025-12-08

When green and low-carbon become the core proposition of global development, and when industry university research cooperation becomes the key path to empowering new quality productivity, a high-end forum connecting China and Germany and focusing on sustainable development will be launched with great weight!

On December 1, 2025, the Sino German Sustainable Development Forum was successfully held in Shanghai Hongqiao Green Valley. The theme of this forum is "Leading by Green and Low Carbon, Promoting Industry University Research Cooperation, Empowering New Quality Productivity", aiming to solve the problem of decarbonization in the global industrial chain, explore new paths for Sino German green technology cooperation and industrial landing, and build a high-quality platform for Sino German green technology exchange and industrial cooperation. The forum is jointly organized by the Sino German MEM Alumni Association of East China University of Science and Technology and the Shanghai Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center. Real New Material Science&Technology Company Limited, as a representative of alumni enterprises, was invited to attend and discuss the green future with guests from all walks of life. Real New Material Science&Technology Company Limited has long been dedicated to the research and development of new materials, the application of green technologies, and innovative exploration. Green, low-carbon, and sustainable development are the core directions of enterprise strategy. Enterprises will be committed to providing more environmentally friendly and high-performance solutions for the industrial chain through material innovation, promoting industrial cooperation and resource recycling, and helping to achieve the "dual carbon" goal.

The forum brings together the top forces in the field of sustainable development from China and Germany. Professor Holger Kohl, Dean of the School of Global Production Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin in Germany, analyzed the current situation of carbon emissions from the perspective of international trade and global resources, and used the automotive industry as an example to illustrate the key role of global value chain division of labor. Professor Kohl deeply analyzed the technological path and cooperation framework necessary to achieve decarbonization of the entire value chain in the context of global economic interconnectivity. He specifically pointed out that initiatives such as digital product passports and sustainable product ecological design are driving Europe towards its 2050 climate neutrality goal. Philippe Schwam, President of Germany's leading brand of temperature controlled enclosures, shared his practice of "Sustainable Green Laboratory - Empowering Scientific Research Innovation". Meimerte integrates low energy consumption and low emissions into its product DNA. Its Peltier semiconductor technology achieves energy efficiency improvement and significant reduction in carbon emissions without relying on refrigerants, demonstrating the supporting role of technological innovation in green transformation. Mr. Philipp Schwamm's own corporate sustainable development practice explores how to improve the energy efficiency and environmental responsibility of laboratories, making scientific research itself a driving force for green transformation, and catalyzing more influential scientific breakthroughs.

In the issue of urban construction, Stanley Qian, who has more than ten years of experience in urban renewal in Minhang District, Shanghai, proposed under the theme of "Urban Renewal under Dual Carbon Goals: The Road to Sustainable Development" that innovative models should be promoted in conjunction with the business environment, and through the integration of academia, industry, and green technology, low-carbon urban regeneration paths should be explored. Stanley Qian shared how to achieve net zero goals through urban regeneration projects and build a more sustainable and livable future city, based on a case study of corporate green buildings.

During the thematic discussion session, Professor Yan Aibin, Professor Holger Kohl, and Mr. Philip Schwam from East China University of Science and Technology held a dialogue on "Sino German Green Technology Cooperation and Industrial Application Practice". The content covered the construction of corporate green competitiveness, integration of ESG and carbon footprint, diversified green certification response strategies, and the innovative potential of AI for green buildings and zero carbon parks, bringing forward thinking and practical collision of ideas to the audience.

This forum is not only a platform for the exchange of green wisdom between China and Germany, but also an important opportunity for innovative alumni enterprises such as REAL NEW Martial Science&Technology Company Limited to connect with international resources and integrate into the global green development trend. On the path of co creating a sustainable future, collaboration between industry, academia, and research, as well as cross-border cooperation, will continue to play a key role in promoting the green and innovative development of new quality productivity.
